How to report Discord messages and servers correctly
Short answer
Report the specific message or profile element that shows the violation, choose the reason that truthfully matches it, and include useful context when Discord asks. If the problem is inside a server, contact its moderators as well. Do not send false or malicious reports, submit multiple reports about the same issue, or coordinate others to report the same content.
Key points
- Report the most specific content that demonstrates the violation.
- Choose the truthful reason and preserve relevant context.
- A single useful report is better than duplicate or coordinated submissions.
- Discord—not the reporting tool—decides whether the content violates a policy.
Report the evidence, not only the place
Discord's in-app flow starts from the content. On desktop you can right-click a message and choose Report Message; on mobile you can hold the message and choose the same action. For a profile problem, open the profile menu and report the specific profile element involved.
A server can contain both ordinary and violating content, so point Discord to the message or profile evidence that shows the issue. If server moderators can act immediately, contact them too.
Choose the report reason accurately
The reason should describe what the content actually does, not the outcome you want. Read the available categories, choose the closest fit, and use any follow-up questions to narrow the issue.
- Keep the original message available while you complete the report.
- Use the category that matches the policy concern.
- Include surrounding context only when it changes the meaning.
- Do not exaggerate severity to try to move the report faster.
Do not duplicate or coordinate reports
Discord explicitly says not to mislead its support teams, make false or malicious reports, send multiple reports about the same issue, or ask a group of users to report the same content. Those actions create noise and can target innocent users.
One specific, truthful report gives reviewers evidence. More submissions do not guarantee faster action or a different decision.
Use reporting automation only for genuine policy concerns. Never use it as retaliation, competitive pressure, or a way to manufacture consensus.
What happens after a report
Discord reviews reports based on the content, context, and applicable policy. Higher-harm reports may be prioritized, while lower-harm or complex cases can take longer. Not every report identifies a violation, and no tool can guarantee removal, suspension, or server action.
Keep your own safety separate from the report outcome: block unwanted users, leave unsafe servers, use server moderation, and contact local authorities when there is an immediate real-world danger.
Where Reporting Bot fits
AI Discord Systems includes Reporting Bot with token or manual log in, automatic server joining, Captcha Solver API, message targeting, report reason selection, scheduling, and human-like flow.
Those controls do not decide whether a report is truthful or whether Discord will enforce. The operator remains responsible for selecting genuine violations and avoiding false, duplicate, malicious, or coordinated reporting.
